Igniting Curiosity Through STEAM Learning

The Essence

This initiative was about sparking curiosity and opening new possibilities for children who rarely have access to hands-on learning.

In Indonesia, TikTok volunteers introduced STEAM learning aids that turned abstract concepts into playful experiments. For many children, it was their first time building, exploring, and creating in ways that made science and technology feel exciting, joyful, and within reach.

Problem

Children from underserved communities often have limited exposure to science and technology outside the classroom. Without access to engaging resources, their curiosity remains untapped and opportunities to explore innovation are scarce.

Solution

TikTok volunteers created STEAM learning aids designed for children in grades 4–6, giving them their first experience with hands-on experiments. This helped nurture creativity, problem-solving, and curiosity, turning science and technology into something exciting and accessible.
