Mentorship Transcending Borders
With 18 Ford mentors logging in from across the country, youth gained career guidance, fresh perspectives, and the inspiration to dream bigger, all from the comfort of a virtual classroom.

The Essence
This initiative was about connection, guidance, and building bridges between experience and aspiration.
Through Goodera, Ford Motor Company volunteers partnered with Single Family Living (SFL) to host a virtual mentorship program for youth. Mentors shared stories, career advice, and encouragement, sparking curiosity and confidence among participants who were exploring their futures.
Problem
Many young people lack access to professional mentors who can help them understand career options and the pathways to success. This gap can leave youth feeling uncertain about their futures, especially in technical fields like engineering.
Solution
Ford employees stepped in as mentors, sharing not only their expertise in engineering but also diverse career journeys and life lessons. The virtual format ensured accessibility, enabling youth to ask questions, gain perspective, and build confidence in their own potential.
