Frequently Asked Questions

What makes someone a good fit to be a Goodera Host?

You’re a great fit if you’re comfortable leading groups, communicating clearly, and keeping events on track. Strong facilitation skills, an ability to read the room, and confidence managing different personalities go a long way. A genuine interest in social impact, paired with a proactive, solutions-first mindset, helps hosts create experiences that feel engaging, thoughtful, and well-run.

What does a Goodera Host actually do?

Hosts guide corporate volunteer events end to end. That includes setting the tone, running orientations and icebreakers, supporting nonprofits, guiding volunteers through the activity, and helping wrap up with clear outcomes and feedback.

Do I need prior hosting or facilitation experience?

Experience helps, but it’s not required. We look for people who are comfortable working with groups, communicating clearly, and creating welcoming spaces. Training and resources are provided.

Are hosting opportunities virtual, in-person, or both?

Both. Hosts can support virtual, hybrid, and on-ground volunteering experiences, depending on location, language, and availability.

How much time does hosting take?

It varies by event. Some opportunities are one-off sessions, others may involve light prep or follow-up. Hosts can choose opportunities that fit their schedule.

Is hosting with Goodera a paid role?

Hosting opportunities may vary by region and event type. Details are shared transparently during onboarding and before you commit to any opportunity.

What kind of training do hosts receive?

Hosts receive onboarding, facilitation playbooks, run-of-show templates, and ongoing support to meet our hosting standards and grow their skills over time.

Can I host in my local language?

Yes. We actively look for hosts who can support events in different languages and bring local context to global teams.

What causes or nonprofits will I work with?

Hosts support a wide range of nonprofits and causes, depending on the event. We aim to match hosts to opportunities that align with their interests and experience.

What happens after I submit the interest form?

You’ll have a short exploratory conversation with our team, followed by a simple video audition. From there, selected hosts move into onboarding and training.
